Superposition
Album packaging for Petlya Pristrastiya.
This is the first group’s album written and performed in Belarusian, which is kinda a statement in itself. Not to mention that the album was recorded in Poland, while in immigration and themes explored are normal to the turmoil we’re living now: war, immigration, instability, political insanity, and overall absurdity of living 2024 to it’s fullest.
We discussed the artwork and somehow the theme of doppelgänger surfaced and I went to have some beer thinking of Twin Peaks and so on. Then I passed the sign I seen first day when I came to Tbilisi to be an immigrant here myself. Looks kinda like the twins are sharing their heads. Nice.
But then friend of mine explained me (using ChatGPT) that this is the ISO assembly point sign telling us where to gather in a dangerous situations seeking for safety. And then it clicked all together.
BTW we’re issuing the vinyl, physical object to gather around in between all this fuck up going on. Nice again.
LP
LP packaging is obviously a nod to Kraftwerk, Peter Saville, Virgil Abloh whatever. It’s an exercise in banality. We were trying to convey quite heavy message in a simple and bold form.
We articulate this immigrant feeling of there and nowhere—“superposition” if you like—a point to assemble even if you hardly can assemble yourself.
There’re two version of the disk: white and black-and-white splatter which is maybe more suitable for physical side of title meaning but I personally prefer more graphic white one. You can use it to cover your face up like I did with group photo on the inner poster.

Color
Neon green was chosen to make it bolder and brighter. In the end—it’s a safety sign.

Reception
This album is the new step for the group: new sound, Belarusian language, new visual style. And it was well received by the audience.
And people really started to mention these signs tagging group in Instagram. Guys themselves posing with sign:
